Public Test Client Patch 1.5.15.0 Highlights
Patch 1.5.15.0 is available on the Public Test Client (PTC). Players testing it can use the PTC-only Progression Unlock Panel to obtain resources and gear, gain XP, unlock Journey chapters, and unlock faction ranks and crafting materials. The post points players to the PTC Steam Discussion Board and dedicated Discord server for discussion.
Highlights include several game and server stability improvements, fixes for crashes when placing a large base with the Base Reconstruction Tool, and fixes for Story and Journey progression issues. The shielded enemy in the new player experience now gives players more time to use a Heavy Attack before retaliating, and the story’s final cinematic has been updated.
Players can launch without BattlEye for single-player or private and self-hosted servers that do not require it. BattlEye is still required for multiplayer servers that have it enabled; clients without BattlEye will not see those servers in the Server Browser, and attempting to join one results in an error. Technical work also reduces shader memory cost and render frame spikes and improves character texture loading in the Main Menu.
Other changes include:
- Reduced the scout ornithopter’s gliding speed penalty with a rocket pod from 20% to 10%. The value may change during PTC testing for scout and assault ornithopters.
- Added a confirmation popup when placing a Sub-fief that partly covers a base, showing how many pieces are outside the landclaim. Advanced Sub-fief is also visible in the base reconstruction tools hologram.
- Limited the Landsraad tool vendor’s Mk5 Powerpacks to five per refresh, and increased the delay between shots of The Ancient Way when augmented to hold multiple rockets from 0.71 to 1.6 seconds.
- Fixed an issue preventing players from exiting vehicles when there is enough room, and adjusted the Leech’s Maw schematic’s Journey requirement to match other unique dual blade weapons.
- Added guild renaming for guild leaders, native DualSense controller support, building shelter requirement information, and several UI adjustments and messages for custom settings.
