Dune: Awakening Launches on Consoles with Filmic Archive DLC
El Sayldam: The Rain of Blood
Dune: Awakening is now available on consoles alongside a major update that adds a full single-player mode, the conclusion to Book One’s story, gameplay customization options, scalable difficulty, and more. The post calls this the game’s best version yet, highlighting additions to PC such as optional PvP, an improved endgame, and new areas to explore. A comprehensive overview and a Deep Dive video are linked for more details. Steam players can get the game at 50% off through October 8.
The Filmic Archive DLC is available for $9.99 on all platforms. This cosmetic pack draws looks from Dune: Part One and Dune: Part Two, including iconic armor and stillsuits, weapons, emotes, decorative items, and 73 building pieces for a Sardaukar-inspired base. Featured outfits include Duke Leto and Paul’s Caladan Stormcoat and the Aegis of an Unwalked Path armor.
On PlayStation 5 and Xbox, the game is offered in standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions. A physical PS5 edition is available across North and South America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, with a Japan release planned for October 29. PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X offer Performance mode (60fps, Dynamic 4K) and Quality mode (30fps, Dynamic 4K); PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X have higher native resolution and enhanced visuals in Quality mode. The console UI and controls are adapted for the platforms, including haptic feedback. Xbox Play Anywhere supports carrying progress across Xbox Series X|S, ROG Xbox Ally, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Windows Store. The game is also on Xbox Game Pass, with members able to upgrade to Deluxe or Ultimate at 20% off. Cross-play is planned for after launch.
Players who jump in between September 17 and October 22 can receive Matron’s Décor, a collection of base placeables. The post also announces the Community Challenge El Sayldam: The Rain of Blood, set to debut September 25, but the provided announcement cuts off before describing its goal.
