House lore

House Vernius is the ruling technocratic house of Ix, renowned for designing sophisticated machinery that often approaches the limits imposed by Butlerian law. It competes with House Richese, remains hostile toward the Bene Tleilax, and appears politically close to House Atreides, whose Arrakis representatives have offered it protection.
